"The support experience was kind of hit..."
The support experience was kind of hit or miss for me. I had a simple question and ended up waiting days just to get a basic reply. When they finally responded it was fine, but the delay made the whole thing frustrating.

"Getting my transfer code was way harder than it needed to be"
I tried to move my domain out, the whole transfer auth code process turned into a much bigger hassle than I expected. I kept getting sent in circles, and when I reached out to support, I didn’t really get the help I needed. I ended up losing an entire evening on something that feels like it should be straightforward. It made me realize how much the little things matter with a service like this, when you need to move or manage something important, the process should feel clear and reliable, not like you’re stuck figuring it out alone

"Trying to renew was way more confusing than..."
Trying to renew was way more confusing than it needed to be. I kept getting bounced around between pages and support responses that didn’t really answer the question, so it felt like I was stuck in a loop just to get something simple done

"The account security experience really put me off"
I had a frustrating experience with Google Domains. My account got locked right after what seemed like a totally normal login, and then the security checks just kept sending me in circles. Support took a while to respond and didn’t really give me much confidence. for a service connected to something as important as domains, the whole thing felt way too shaky. After that, I just don’t feel comfortable trusting it anymore.

"Pricing felt kind of unclear"
I bought a domain thinking the cost was straightforward, but then the renewal price and extras weren’t really obvious to me. I had to click around more than I expected just to get a sense of what I’d actually be paying later. Maybe it was all there somewhere, but it definitely didn’t feel simple. I probably won’t use domains.google again.

"It mostly does what it’s supposed to"
My domains stay up fine most of the time, so I’m not saying the service is bad or anything. But I did run into a few random DNS delays here and there, and yeah, that was annoying when it happened. Overall it works, just not perfectly

"I had a frustrating time trying to turn..."
I had a frustrating time trying to turn off auto-renew. The settings were confusing enough that even after I thought I’d switched it off, I kept going back to check if it actually saved. Maybe I’m just used to cleaner dashboards, but for something like Google Domains, it really shouldn’t feel like solving a puzzle. I mean, I can barely remember where I put my car keys half the time, so I don’t need extra uncertainty around whether a domain is going to renew or not. Overall, it was just annoying and not a great experience.

"Checkout kept sending me in circles"
I tried to buy a domain, but every time I entered my payment details, the checkout just kicked me back like nothing had happened. There wasn’t any clear error message or explanation, so I was left guessing what the problem was. From the way the page acted, I assumed maybe my payment wasn’t being accepted, but it never actually said that. After about 30 minutes of trying, I gave up and bought the domain through another registrar. frustrating experience for something connected to Google

"Billing is mostly right, but still a hassle"
For the most part, the charges have been correct, but one renewal fee really threw me off. I had to spend extra time and energy contacting support and waiting for it to get sorted out, which was frustrating. It wasn’t a total disaster, but clearer billing details would’ve saved me the headache.

"So tired of dealing with this migration"
I was hoping the domain migration would be straightforward, but it ended up being a mess. It took way longer than it should have, and a bunch of settings didn’t transfer correctly. I reached out to support, but it didn’t feel like they helped much. At this point I’m just exhausted from having to chase things down and explain the same issues over and over. Really frustrating experience.

"Docs left me piecing things together"
The docs were confusing and skipped over some basic setup steps, especially around DNS. I ended up digging through forum posts just to fix something that felt like it should’ve been explained upfront. Support didn’t really help much either, it felt like I was getting copy-paste replies instead of someone actually reading what I was stuck on

"Refund process was really frustrating"
I accidentally bought a domain and tried to cancel it quickly, thinking the refund process would be simple. For some reason, it turned into way more of a hassle than I expected.
Support kept bouncing me around, and the replies felt like generic copy-paste messages. I had to explain the same issue more than once, which got frustrating fast.

In the end, I still didn’t get a clear answer and mostly just sat around waiting. Not the kind of experience I’d want to deal with again

"Getting Workspace set up was a headache"
I set up my domain thinking Google Workspace would be straightforward, but it turned into way more of a hassle than I expected. The email verification kept looping, the DNS records didn’t seem to update properly, and I ended up bouncing between different admin panels and help pages for hours.
Support mostly gave me generic answers, and nothing got fixed quickly. For something with the Google name on it, the whole setup felt surprisingly clunky. i wouldn’t use it again.

"Took way too long to get help"
I reached out to support and it felt like it took forever to get anywhere, and the issue still isn’t fixed

"Harder than I expected for basic DNS setup"
I expected setting up DNS records to be straightforward, since I’ve done the same thing on other domain sites without much trouble. But this was more frustrating than it should’ve been. The interface wasn’t very clear, some changes took ages to show up, and when something didn’t work, the errors didn’t really explain what was going on. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, just a simple way to point my domain correctly, but I ended up wasting way too much time on it

"Email forwarding does work, but getting it..."
Email forwarding does work, but getting it set up was more confusing than I expected. The whole process felt kind of clunky, and of course it happened right when I needed it to just work without wasting time. Not terrible, just not as smooth as I hoped

"2FA turned a simple login into a headache"
I was just trying to log in and manage my domain, but the two-factor authentication kept failing over and over. There wasn’t any clear help or a simple backup option, and the whole process made me feel like I was being talked down to for not magically knowing what to do next. I didn’t want a lecture or a scavenger hunt through support pages, I just wanted to get into my account. Ended up wasting way more time than I should have.

"Renewal price really caught me off guard"
Not gonna lie, I signed up because the first-year price seemed like a good deal, but the renewal cost ended up being way higher than I expected. I feel like that should’ve been made a lot clearer before checkout.

Moving the domain out was more annoying than it needed to be too. I just wanted something simple, not surprise price jumps every year, so I don’t think I’ll be using domains.google again.

"Setup felt harder than it should’ve"
I couldn’t even get started because the account setup was such a hassle. It kind of felt like they didn’t put much thought into making the first steps easy for new users.

"I moved my domain over from Google..."
I moved my domain over from Google Google Domains, and in the end it all worked out. That said, I found the process a little confusing in spots, especially around the auth code part. It took longer than I personally expected, so I was kind of second-guessing whether I’d missed something. Nothing went seriously wrong, but it didn’t feel quite as smooth or straightforward as I was hoping.
